National Iranian Oil Company in line with the privatization of state-owned companies and macro policies of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to reduce the volume of state-owned enterprises in the non-monopoly field and transfer of affairs to the private sector, with the aim of expanding participation in economic and industrial activities. Efficiency has transferred the oil refining units of Tehran and Abadan refineries to the Social Security Organization, the State Pension Fund and Astan Quds Razavi. This transfer led to the establishment of Iranol Oil Company on December 1, 2002 and in February 2012 the company OTC was accepted and offered. Iranol Oil Company now operates in three sections: Tehran Oil Refinery, Abadan Oil Refinery and Container and Packaging Complex.
